"Friendly welcome. Characterful room with good quality tea tray. Great breakfast. Unfortunately the room was not overly clean and the bathroom in particular was tired, run down and felt grubby. Black and dirty sealant around the outside of shower. Broken tiles on floor, broken loo roll holder, grubby and badly marked walls and thick dust/grime on skirting. With a deep clean and a little maintenance this could be a great place to stay."

"Quite disappointing. At dinner, they forgot one of the mains, so my wife ate her meal and mine arrived 15 mins later - no compensation offered. Rooms very basic and walls so thin you can hear next door talking. Property run down"

"This was by far one of the best inn rooms I have slept in for years. The bed was big and comfortable with a great mattress topper, two big wide windows for air. There was both a bath and a shower and both were clean. Tv and great coffee machine with plenty of milk and sugar with milk alternatives if needed. "Really helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Great location, upgraded rooms were good, lovely bar and outdoor terrace and we enjoyed an hour in the spa (N.B. not obvious when I booked the hotel but this is £10 extra per person for an hour and must be booked). Breakfast was good, only minor issue were the undercooked boiled eggs but there was plenty of other choice."

"Had a great stay atvyhe Hurtwood. Found it by chance. Great village with plenty of walking direct in to the Surrey Hills as directed by the lovely lady who checked us in. Room very comfortable with fresh milk provided. We found the car park easy for a big car, but would not be so easy in season I think. Dinner in the bar was excellent and good portions. Breakfast cooked to order also great. Will go again. Thank you."

"Beautiful location and property very nice but can't believe there is no lift / elevator in the building. Disappointing breakfast offering. Two breakfast buffet offerings advertised, continental £12.95 and hot £16.95 but on the first day there was no hot buffet. Hot food was ordered a la carte from the kitchen (plated) and price remained £16.95 regardless of what was ordered. Surely pricing should have been adjusted. Overall a very pleasant stay but if you're a senior or someone with disabilities...

"Room not that clean. Bathroom fan didn't work. Some mold on bathroom. Smoke alarm went off early in AM. False alarm. Overall property in disrepair. Staff disinterested. First time staying at a Premier Inn and probably my last. "

"Once probably a very poice hotel. Now without proper maintanance overpriced and very noisy. We had a good room, premium, although the fridge in the room was taken out, light in the bathroom didn’t function. Breakfast was very poor, very basic with almost nothing to choose from. Spa was ok."

"The hotel is an oasis of peace in a beautiful Surrey town. The staff were very helpful and the grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was excellent. However the room was not as luxurious as the photos had led us to expect. Also curry night needs to consider English tastes, the korma was so spicy I could not eat it, very disappointing. Overall I would recommend the hotel as the situation, grounds and staff were brilliant."
