First the location is perfect,the hotel is close to everything in Ocho Rios.the front desk associates are friendly they always greets you with a great smile,kitchen staffs always friendly and the never esitate to help with any situation , housekeeping are on top of there game at all times ur room clean everyday,the pool is always clean.overall great experience and will always recommended to friends and family.

convenient hotel in the heart of Ocho Rios

This hotel is very accommodating. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to: Collita, Mikeedah, Oneal, Larry (Chef) and the housekeeping staff. They provided clean towels and anything else we needed. Breakfast was very delicious which was made by Larry. Overall Village Hotel is a very good place to stay. I will certainly give them a good review and recommendation.

Very good for the buck!

Staff was nice and friendly, my house keeper was awesome, front desk staff rock, But Lawrence the chef is the man his breakfast is alway mouth watering. Im staying there from now on!

Would NOT recommend ANYONE stay here !

This is a very OLD / RUNDOWN hotel in a bad area of town ! Mini kitchen appliances appeared 50 years old. NO silver ware or anything. Breakfast was 2 eggs & a grilled/ dried out hotdog cooked by the guy cleaning the parking lot.

Ok hotel but wasn't as good the price charged.The t v reception was poor and continental breakfast awful..bread and eggs every day...The location is in proximity to every thing.and hotel seems well secured and safe.The staff is very pleasant and helpful..ownership seems to not reinvesting in hotel.

Clean and great location

The only off thing was the staff have to be mindful not call guest like getting up early. Whenever they’re on the floors the should lower there voices.

Not happy

The only thing that was good about the village hotel was the house keeping staff, maintenance guy/ cook/everything. I WILL NEVER BOOK wITH EXPEDIA AGAIN!

You get what you pay for

My partner and me just needed a place to sleep at nights and this place was ideal. If I wanted to hang around and enjoy a hotel I would've chosen some place more modern but it wasn't bad. Was old fashioned but clean and that was very important for me.

Location spot-on

Visited at a quiet time of year, pool easily accessible. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not the best. Don't know if just my room, but I could hear all of next door's talk, movement and TV....not nice at gone 1 in the morning and then again at 7 the same morning

Convenient location but horrible service

The bed and pillows was very hard the customer service was very poor, I booked the hotel because it stated that breakfast was included upon check-in no one said anything to us about the breakfast and the employees wasn't warm or welcoming

Truly a Jamaican experience

This hotel is unique in that it is an older, beautifully maintained, hotel. It has beautiful polished wooden building materials. The pool is on the second floor, and very private. The staff was very helpful. It is on a busy street, so if you want quiet you might not have it there. There are all the stores and restaurants you might need within walking distance. It is a poor neighborhood, so sidewalks and streets might not be up to US standards.

Nice Place

It was very nice would have stayed but they drained the pool for repairs a day after booking in and we wanted to use their nice pool, got a no hassle refund so it was all good

I was very disappointed.

I definitely do not recommend this hotel and i will never stay there again. The staffs are not friendly. Not even the internet works, even though they assured me prior to booking that it works.

Jamaican American review of Village Hotel

The facilities feel like a Super 8 but the chief/facilities man makes a continental breakfast on demand that brightens your day. The air units are so good it will freeze you! All the rooms have cable and so we did not miss anything from the states. The location is 3 minutes walk to the bus terminal to go to Kingston (500 J) and very close to the heart of the clubs.

Terrible hotel.

Checkin time was 2 pm but I was allowed to check in about 3:30 after waiing for one and a half hours. Facial towels were not available at first night, therefoe I told to prepare them for the second night. Hot water for shower and bath was quite scare for both two nights. No explanation on breakfast was given when checking in even it was included. Receptionists were not kind. Wi-Fi was available only in quite small area close to the lobby and of course was not available in the room.

It was great place to stay if your there for family and friends a little pool but quite nice friendly staff great free breakfast what more can you ask at that price
