"This little gem has become my home away from home in Oakland. It has everything you could want in a city that already has everything—great food, cool bars, amazing music, plenty to do, etc. It's all brand new in a renovated space. The rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are sparkling, and the service is impeccable. There's a rooftop courtyard, a game room, and good eats and drinks right next door. It's more comfortable than anywhere else in the Bay Area, and just as accessible. Well...

"The rooms were clean and surprisingly spacious. Big bathroom, the sink is oddly small, though, it could use an update. The shampoo and conditioner, smelt great. The last but not least is the employees, they are super friendly and helpful. When I my car didn't start, on my check out day. The front desk man let me use his personal jump start kit to get my car going again. I am so grateful for people like this, helping out when they can, even when it's not included in their job description. Bless...

"My earrings were stolen while we were out of the room. I placed my earrings in a sock and placed sock in my luggage I went back to the property a week later and the manager asked me to wait while he reviewed security tape. After reviewing the tape, he returned to the lobby and told me the reel didn’t go back a week so he had nothing to report. Before accusing the property of thievery, I checked my luggage and clothing thoroughly several times to confirm the sock wasn’t tucked somewhere. I...

"The entire hotel smelled like cigarette smoke, and felt off from the very beginning. Online the place looked very promising and though the lobby looked out dated I had held out hopes for the rest of the amenities. Getting in the elevator you are immediately greeted with the smell of marijuana and once you're dropped off on your floor you're met with hallway bathrooms, beat up walls and doors, and once again the incredibly overpowering smell of smoke. "It’s not clean enough "

"Bathroom was moldy and shower and tub were filthy with black scum in crevices. Hair on the floor indicated that it wasn’t swept after the last guest. Otherwise it was basic and gave what I needed which was a cheap roof, bed, shower. The front office person was accommodating."
