"We had an enjoyable stay, we were received by Kelly with fresh delicious muffins, the house was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, each day was a different menu with fresh baked muffins, fresh fruit, juice, coffee or late and attention to detail. Kelly was very hospitable and she made us feel like home. I recommend a stay here "

"Stayed at Cabin Kai 4 (Dec 26–30, 2025). Affordable and located in a beautiful, peaceful area with free parking, water, and Wi-Fi (weak). Major concern: No window coverings for the floor-to-ceiling bathtub window or windows above the bed and coffee bar, resulting in serious privacy issues while bathing and sleeping. "This was amazing! Great staff, great location AND there's even a swimming hole (5 min walk, if that) with a waterfall! I've never stayed in a shared house before, but this one has spoiled me! It's close enough to be able to drive to all the good tourist spots. Oh, and hopefully you're there for the "big" farmers market on Saturdays. If I get back to the Big Island I'll be coming back here! Thank you for the great time!"

"Pleasant stay. we spent the day at the Volcano Natl Park which is only 7 minutes away. had dinner in town, checked in about 5pm. when you drive onto the property you feel like you are in the middle of the rain forrest. really appreciated the tasty banana bread, snacks, and fruit that was left out. our room had a hot tub, which we didnt use. the matress was comfy. very quiet surrondings."

"This is a beautiful, quiet property just above Hilo town. The view of Hilo from the property is AMAZING! Great value for the room we had for 5 days. The property is very relaxing and the sounds of the coqui frogs at night add to the feeling of relaxation and induction of sleep. I would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Hilo."

"Not Worth it, Price Like 4-5 hotel. It Like motel. .Very noisy during the day and night, people are passing your corridor to go to lobby and dragged their luggages . NO elevator, I need to carry All luggages to level 1 downstairs. Staffs helpful and friendly. I booke d for 4 adults. bed like queen but a bit small. Shouldn’t be for for 4 adults. No kettle and you need to pick up all glass, tea and coffee in receptions., bring your own water bottle as well. "
