"Overwater bungalows were amazing, clean, tidy and spacious, with beautiful views and snorkleing with turtles. However the lack of food choices, the expense of food, the seagulls constantly hovering at the restaurant was disappointing, as was the fact the pool bar closed at 3:30pm and they didn't even make your drinks at the bar, they brought them in from the restaurant - it just didn't fit the holiday vibe. 3-4 days in an overwater bungalow would be amazing, but then you are ready to explore...

"Room was clean with a massive king bed. A/C and fans kept the room cool. Staff were helpful and fun. Food in both restaurants was amazing with huge portions. The worst thing I can say is there was too much food! Lots of activities to keep you busy if you wish or a great beach to relax on. Can't recommend Blue Lagoon enough!"

"Great location in the rain forest within a few steps of a glorious beach. So quiet, with no distractions ( no mobile or wifi coverage). Chalet was fairly basic, but comfortable. On site restaurant was good for breakfast and dinner."

"The Fijian people were wonderful! We spent only 3 nights as an add-on to a dive vacation so we snorkeled right off the beach and it was amazing! The reef was very healthy and saw plenty of fish, live soft coral and even a Crown of Thorns starfish. We stayed in the beachfront villa and was very happy with everything, the aircon, outdoor bathroom and the front deck. The only notable discomfort was the sharp tile around the shower. "We had a very nice experience. I read 1 star reviews and was a little surprised. I honestly think it comes down to preferences and perception. I do agree, this is not a 5 star resort. However, this is a lovely property with friendly service that is always available. We also really enjoyed the food, contrary to the negative reviews. The rooms were also comfortable and clean."
