"Room smelled musty. Temperature control had a low battery warning. Maintenance replaced the batteries. Bathroom had light bulbs burnt out. Holes in the bathroom room wall from the door towel holder hitting the wall. Breakfast was okay. Normal breakfast fare. Good location. Think I would try another hotel in the area if I went back to that area."

"The only problem was the noise level. Soundproofing was minimal between rooms and we could hear word for word conversations between the occupants and the television of the room next door. We also heard the traffic from the highway which is about a quarter of a mile away. Breakfast would have been better if they had bacon because the sausage was not very good. "The Yortowne Hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It also sits in the heart of the city. This spot has an abundance of restaurants as well as historic signage in various spots. A real gem of a restaurant is The White Rose offering great seafood choices. The staff at the restaurant and hotel are top notch with a customer friendly attitude. "

"If you'd like to stay next to a highway with a steady stream of big rigs going by from early in the morning until late at night, all using their air brakes to slow down for the roundabout, this is the place for you. Don't think about peace and quiet, there isn't any. This is an ancient building located in the center of traffic. It was a mistake to stay there. We don't recommend it for any reason unless you don't need sleep. Now, the antique nature of the building is "cute" but not practical....

"The front desk was often without an attendant for long periods of time. The floors, hallways and elevator were dirty - I was there for 5 nights and they were not cleaned once during that time."

The in-room towels were remarkably plush for a motel - a pleasant surprise. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I slept well.
