"This is an extraordinary resort. It’s like staying in a luxury palace in its own private island. The grounds are beautiful and jasmine smell was everywhere. The pool is perfect temperature and very large. There are scenic places all around to relax in. The staff were cheerful, very helpful with advice on what to see and how, as well as with reservations. Breakfasts were tasty with a broad selection. Boat service to Venice was fun and runs every half hour. We loved it and stay there again."

"We found Hotel Rigel to be an excellent choice for our 5 nights. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the waterbus stop on Lido on a quiet road. Our room was comfortable and very clean with some interesting touches of Venetian style. As promised by the reviews, the breakfast was a generous spread of fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese, rolls, croissants, cereals, nuts, eggs, salad and a tempting array of biscuits, cake and tarts. "Great location for the beach, and a quiet area. The travel from here to Venice was a bit of a walk, and the bus taxi is about 30 minutes to get to the train station. However, everything else was great!"

"Property was in need of refurbishment, very dated. Rooms were clean with fresh towels everyday, beds were very comfy. We arrived after the normal check in times but were able to arrange this prior to our arrival and had no problems. Air Breakfast was disappointing, not much choice and only one toaster to serve everybody. Bread had been out for a while and had gone hard and the chopped pieces of apples were brown from sitting around. Perfect location and can’t fault the staff, I would come...

"Staff were amazingly perceptive, courteous and were not over worked. This meant never feeling frantic. Room was clean, no traffic sound and walls were muffled enough to hardly notice a full family (including kids) staying next door. Step out and you are on the Lagoon. Owing to the direction the property is facing direct observation of the sun-sets can be seen immediately from the door-step of the entrance. Step out and the silhouettes are of the dark side of the buildings of the lagoon teasing...
