"Historically my husband and I have been staying at this resort for YEARS. This was the last though - here is why: they kept charging my credit card fraudulent fees - I mean in excess. Expedia says I can’t mention prices - it was to the point my credit card company called me to alert theft concern. And 1 of the reasons Sonesta stated for these charges was “that you booked through a 3rd party app” But we prepaid in FULL And they kept changing the reasons or not providing any explanation...

"Liked the beach view and the beach was great. Outdoor pool was also fantastic. Staff during check in were not as friendly as expected, it took them a while (1.5 hours) to get our daughter a pack and play that was requested with anticipation. Meals were quite expensive and not as great."

"This hotel is not what is pictured. We came into town to a hotel that needs to be torn down. Unfortunately, because we thought the pictures online looked nice but could not get a refund for the reservation as they would not refund due to it being check-in day. We did not even walk into the room, as the property was less than desirable. It is a shame and a waste of hard earned money."

"The Tiki Hut draws a lot of offsite guests, which makes it very crowded for the guests staying at the hotel. Beach access is excellent and steps away from the hotel. It’s a crowded beach with public access so it gets very busy. Walking distance to shops and restaurants is a nice perk of the location."

"The nicest staff anywhere!! They were so kind and helpful! The room was so clean and it was easy to get everywhere we needed to go from there. I will absolutely stay here again when!"

"The room needs some updating as it is old and dated. Additionally, it was hard to fall asleep because we could hear people talking in the hall and doors opening and closing. Most annoying was hearing the ceiling creak every time someone upstairs moved about. It sounds like it isn’t supported properly or something. It kept waking us up. The breakfast was very very basic. We skipped it the second day altogether."

"Family orientated hotel with great pools, walk on beach access, wonderful BBQ options for self catering. Rooms are large and family orientated. Fab stay! "
