"We enjoyed are stay for the weekend at the beach. The front desk employees were nice. Pros: The room is spacious for my husband in a wheelchair. The beds were comfortable even the bunk beds for the kids. The employees were very attentive on making sure the area was clean. They also provide a black rubber ramp for in front of the hotel room for wheelchair access. The fan attached to the wall helped us sleep comfortably. Cons: The door to access the toilet and bath/shower area is not wheelchair...

"I had requested a room with a bathtub in a quiet section of the property and they were able to place me in unit #1, which was perfect! In addition, the restaurant was open for dinner and the chef made me a tiger roll (sushi) and low mein (all fresh vegetables and noodles) It was soooooo good! The hotel was close to the beach. The section where the cross is. Where Hwy 87 ends. It was perfect in every way. I have stayed there 3 times now and would book again. :-)"

"No black out curtains in the room. Too much light for me! The front desk lady was somewhat rude when I called for a wake up call and it was seven minutes late. Told me there is an alarm clock in the room, glad I set it. Probably won't stay there again!"

"It is a lovely, stately old mansion just like you expect of Galveston. Built in the 1860’s and recently renovated over a three year period. It is located only about four blocks from the cruise terminal and is ideal if you are cruising. The owner is a great guy and has other property nearby that includes a parking lot. If you stay at the manor you can park your car in the lot and he will drive you to the terminal. Talk about service. There is a live in chef onsite and he prepares your breakfast...

"We found a pee stain in our bed sheets. Don't know how long it had been there for, it's obvious the sheets were not changed from the previous resident or possibly longer. My husband and I were so flabbergasted and disgusted. I went to speak to the check in person and he offered to have someone put new sheets on our bed or a new room. I really wanted a refund but was late in the afternoon and didn't want to deal with having to find another hotel for one night. We took a new room, which was not...

"The staff were friendly, efficient, and professional. The rooms were clean and roomy and the breakfast buffet offered something for everyone. The location is conviently within walking distace of restaurants and shopping. Will definitely recommend to others and plan to stay there when I return to Galveston"
