"the place is fairly new looking loved the room set up disappointed w the pool... water was green:( had to travel to hotel next door to have breakfast i assumed the price for the room included breakfast, Paid the 15 euros, translates to 25 dollars canadian, breakfast was not worth the value, there are several supermarkets nearby w breakfast at a significantly cheaper price."

"Our stay was exceptional in every way! The hotel is beautiful and the location is superb. We loved the spa and the outdoor spaces. Truly a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was in a beautiful dining hall and was excellent as well. You must stay here to experience this lovely hotel and all it has to offer. "I would not recommend the private rooms. The private rooms are located under the communal area. The noise was really bad and made sleep pretty impossible. Definitely get a private room in a hotel, probably cheaper and quieter."

"Check in staff were lovely, food and drinks were a constant challenge with minimal customers and staff feeling overwhelmed. Seemed more concerned with polishing glasses than looking after people. Food was amazing once received. Room was dated and bathroom not very clean, very mouldy. "

"Not a 4 star hotel. Super dated old hotel and they don’t even try to maintain anything. When something breaks down, they don’t even try to fix it. We came into a hot room and the AC was not blowing, and they tried to gaslight me. Make me feel like I’m crazy. But we booked two rooms and the other room the AC was blowing just fine. They made it seem like we didn’t know how to use an AC and they did not change the room until the third time we asked. The balcony area looked really gross. Everything...

"Our accommodation was perfect for the night we stayed in Matosinhos. Very clean. Miss V was so helpful and she was an amazing cook. Breakfast was wonderful and her cakes were delicious. Very helpful with suggestions and directions. Would definitely stay again!"
