"Had a free weekend with the girlies during our month-long study abroad trip, and we could not have made a better choice than Tiki Villas!! "John and Annie don't have a no for an answer, rooms are small but comfortable, and clean, a little outdated, good wi fi, no tv, ac is a diamond in the area, no restaurant or breakfast but evermore l everything is walkable, ride from San Jose is 6 hours, going towards the Corcovado park or Carate beach can take 2 hours more in an 4x4 car. You can take a plane from San Jose $140 and get there in 25 minutes. There is not Ev charger in the area, somehow John manage to get me electricity to use...

"We loved it here!! The sunsets were absolutely stunning. The owner was super nice and if we had any questions or needed anything a staff member was there quickly to help. The villa had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We rented a 2x4 car and was able to get there, you just have to give it some gas in a couple of places. Highly recommend staying here. "

If you're close to Uvita, check the tide schedule and get down to the beach! Humpback whales raise their young in Marino Bellena as the waters are shallow and warm and they feel safe. Coincidentally, at low tide, the beach forms a "whale's tail" shape, and it's stunning to see. There is a National Park entrance fee, that I believe was in the $3-6 range for the day.
