"The bed was absolutely awful! Collapsed mattress and a collapsed bed base where two pieces of wood had been loosely thrown underneath for a makeshift support! It was SO uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean and refurbished but not even any soap provided. We had to run across to the Lidl supermarket for shower gel. Water was lukewarm and shower head dreadful. Not a very pleasant experience at all, and definitely not worth the £140 room only charge!"

"Such a lovely hotel/townhouse to stay for adults. It’s unique, clean, cozy and many shops and restaurants nearby making it a convenient location when you are visiting Edinburgh. It is also near the tram stop. I would advise travellers with big luggages to book the rooms on the lower floor as there are no lifts available and will be difficult to carry luggages if room(s) book will be on the ascending floors. "Amazing location. Incredible staff. I've stayed there before and even with 2 elevators, things can be slow given the number of guests and staff that use it. Now there is just 1 elevator so expect long delays or enjoy using the stairs for exercise. Otherwise I look forward to staying there again when I visit in August"

We blew an electrical breaker trying to use an American hairdryer and they promptly got the electricity fixed. They were very flexible with dinner reservations, working around our daytime activities."

It was mostly clean but there was some grit or dirt on the floor as I could hear it rubbing on my case.
