"This is a property without a reception desk and access is provided by a lock box key. i had a few problems downloading the key details. I emailed the property and was immediately contacted and provided with the necessary details. The property is very clean and the courtyard is a wonderful floral area. Some items of furniture were a bit tired but that is being really picky. There is no car parking outside the property but this is made clear prior to booking. There is street parking nearby."

"I booked 2 nights through a third party. There were communications issues, with payment and breakfast. We arrived late to open assigned room with people in it twice. Someone opened our room with their assigned keys our 2nd day. Staff was apologetic, but these issues should never happen. Thats said, we liked this hotel for its history, character and charm. Its like a maze in there! Breakfast was good. I hope they solve these issues. I would booke here again."

"Perfect location for Train station and shopping . Loved our stay at The Park Gate staff were very welcoming at reception especially Richard . Huge comfortable bed and complimentary Prosecco brought to the room to celebrate our Ruby anniversary. Room was lovely apart from the carpet which needed cleaning . Looks like children may have stayed in the room recently. Great thermal suite experience had the whole room to myself . Would definitely stay here the next time I visit Cardiff. Thank you"

"This is a fantastic hotel right in the heart of Cardiff and just a quick walk to so many bars, cafes, shops and the Castle. Our room was so lovely. It had a very funky vibe and was beautiful decorated, clean and comfortable. We loved it! The community lounge and deck was also a great addition giving you access to a great hang out area. It is also well stocked with snacks and drinks. The restaurant downstairs was also nice. We parked our car in the public carpark opposite the hotel which was easy...
