"This is an old property with a spruced up lobby and bar. Rooms have been given a superficial update, but fabric on seating areas was worn and not particularly clean. Walls and woodwork could have used a wipe down. Room was quite small, as expected (no problem), but the bathroom was surprisingly large. We booked a premium quad with four bunks, and the twin bunks were surprisingly comfortable with clean, fresh linens and a decent duvet on each. Front desk staff were pleasant, helpful, and efficient. Service at the bar was great, and it was still doing a brisk business when we got back from a concert at 11:30 on a Wednesday night. Overall, for our unfussy family of four, this was a perfectly decent one-night stay that’s right on the red line."
