"Everyone working in the building were top-notch professional and willing to go that extra mile to assist and take care of our needs. The room with a river view was laid out with a small sitting area, king bed and huge bathroom. The shower was especially nice and easy to regulate without having to stand inside and get too hot or cold while trying to figure it out. The daily 5:30 - 7:30 ‘happy hour’ with two free drinks per person and very nice appetizers was GREAT. Breakfast was included and a chef fixes your omelet to order even while there is a full buffet offered. The in-house restaurant was as good as any restaurant in downtown Wilmington, NC. that’s all I need to say."

"SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!!! They tidy up our rooms The bartender was super helpful when we asked for recommendations in the area It was a peaceful stay!! Their food was fantastic!! The staff was amazing! The entire lounge smells like you're entering the abercrombie store! Will definitely go back here!"

"This hotel started out good but kinda folded. Staff is very friendly and tries hard to be helpful. We needed a blanket for the pull out and they provided no problem etc. the property is def dated . The upholstered furniture in room is semi clean not great: sink wasn’t draining properly & water pressure is low. Mattresses are not great. The hallway carpet is super dirty. As are the stairs which we saw since the elevator broke second day in. And they only have one… & we were on third floor…I did ask if we were able to switch to first fl and they said yes but we weren’t staying long enough to go to all the hassle. I was amazed that they said it wouldn’t be fixed for days…I mean in wilmington there must be an emergency repair man?? Anyway that sucked . The breakfast is very spartan . Just the basics cereal oatmeal and waffle maker , muffins and breads yogurt … They also allow people to smoke right beside the front entrance and by the door in the rocking chairs . I don’t know if these were guests or employees. But it was kinda gross . Thought you had to be away so many feet but maybe not in NC? I assumed this was a non smoking facility so… Anyway the hotel needs maintainance. They own the Sleep inn next door so you have to use that pool. Plus their ice machines."

"Staff was very kind, we did arrive 2 hours prior to check in and asked for early check in. She told us no but to come back at 2:30, there was one vehicle on the parking lot so a bit confused why we couldn’t but it was ok. The same girl told us breakfast started at 6 so we got up and ready and headed down for breakfast only to be told SORRY we don’t do breakfast till 7. Any hotel I ever stayed at serves breakfast from 6-9 or so."
