The hotel staff said that they reached out through Expedia to send us at least two separate messages talking about the soccer game and that we would not have parking. "Many areas of the hotel are very tired, including the rooms we had. Certain parts of the hotel were not well maintained and not as clean as you would expect from this hotel category. Many staff were in experienced and not helpful, others were very helpful, no consistency. Food was good. You need a car, difficult to get taxis and Ubers"

Seuls petit bémols : La fenêtre de la chambre était peu isolé et nous entendions fort l'extérieur même fenêtre fermé, les rideaux ont quelques trous et laissent passer pas mal de lumière. Et pour être franc nous avions penché pour l'hôtel grâce a la piscine, mais l'eau et l'air ambiant de la piscine sont assez froid, ce n'est pas très agréable malgré sauna et hammam très appréciables, le bain...

"Loved the Hoxton. Decoration and ambience is great. Both restaurants in the hotel are very good. Location is very convenient. An easy walk (25 minutes) to Old Town and city center, as well as Deans Village. All the staff was super friendly and helpful; in particular April which help us to get connecting rooms while the checking in. Overall a great stay!"

"Great location for getting around Edinburgh, and having a bar downstairs is a nice bonus. The room made a great first impression and was clean and comfortable. It could do with a little TLC in places, but for the price it was excellent value for money. There's also on-site parking and a lovely pub garden at the rear, which was a nice added touch."
