"The property is ok, needs some maintenance to get it back to its glory days. The room was clean although the bathroom floor had the grout missing between the tiles. You can hear next door through the walls and can be noisy. The Brasseria restaurant was not great. Staff seemed to be a little lost and the Nachos were stale with the Philly steak sandwich having processed cheese on it that was not even melted onto the sandwich. Poor quality. "Great location to be able to get to Edinburgh Airport. The self check in kiosk does not work for Expedia bookings. Need to check in at the front desk. We did not know this and spent 15 minutes trying to figure out what was the problem. When we went to the hotel staff if she could help us, she was very rude and ignorant to us. She explained in a condescending tone that the kiosk does not recognize 3 party bookings. It would have been helpful if there was a notice on the kiosk to notify...

"The pool and steam room were a welcome relief after traveling all day. Slept great. The location was great as near to the tram and airport!"

"Lee- Anne, Anjuli and Nisha made the entire four day stay truly memorable. They offered incredible service and were extremely kind and helpful. We loved the location, just out of the way of Old Town but close enough to all the sights by bus (right outside the hotel). We especially enjoyed the dinner menu as it catered perfectly to vegetarians with a great selection of vegan meals as well. Our room had a lovely view and we had a wonderful experience."

"This was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. It’s so beautiful and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. The food at Abacus was delicious and the staff there were also very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the Scott."

"I wish they had more in room amenities such as coffee, ice and iron. That being said anything you needed the staff was readily available and happy to help. It was extremely close to where I wanted to visit and everything is within a 10-15 minute walk. I’ll definitely be staying here when I visit again next year."

"Lovely restored house in a neighborhood (more like a B&B). There is a bus that runs into Edinburgh proper or you can take the mile walk. The hotel gives very good recommendations for local dining. Parking can be difficult (limited on-street parking for non-residents). No eating in the rooms."

"Fake tan stains were in the bath from previous guest. Hot water took almost 10mins to come on. Outdoor had a few broken planters and weeds coming through the floor. Kitchen was closed for maintenance so there was no food options until breakfast the next day. I could hear people going in and out their rooms until about 2am and then starting again at 6am. I have stayed previously and was impressed but this time just felt like lack of care was given."
