"Really loved this hotel! They clean your room daily, there’s lots of things to do, and the bed is comfy. It’s kind of far from the city but transportation is pretty easy!"

"Great location to be able to get to Edinburgh Airport. The self check in kiosk does not work for Expedia bookings. Need to check in at the front desk. We did not know this and spent 15 minutes trying to figure out what was the problem. When we went to the hotel staff if she could help us, she was very rude and ignorant to us. She explained in a condescending tone that the kiosk does not recognize 3 party bookings. It would have been helpful if there was a notice on the kiosk to notify...

"Lee- Anne, Anjuli and Nisha made the entire four day stay truly memorable. They offered incredible service and were extremely kind and helpful. We loved the location, just out of the way of Old Town but close enough to all the sights by bus (right outside the hotel). We especially enjoyed the dinner menu as it catered perfectly to vegetarians with a great selection of vegan meals as well. Our room had a lovely view and we had a wonderful experience."

"Wonderful place. If you've ever wanted to stay in a castle, this is it. Great property, wonderful staff, outstanding dungeon dinner experience and beautiful grounds to walk around. I would stay here again. "

"It was ok. Location was good for transportation on buses or taxis. The room we got was definitely not a “luxury” hotel room or spacious like advertised and did not look like photos. There was no lift, so they should tell people they have to do stairs. The towel warmer didn’t work and there was no plug in for the hairdryer in the bathroom or anywhere near a mirror. It had a bed and breakfast without the breakfast kind of feel, rather than a “boutique hotel,” so seems a little higher priced...

"Our room was nicely decorated and we loved the big window that looked out on the trees. The staff was always responsive and helpful, especially helping us get suitcases upstairs. Having a wonderful restaurant downstairs was a real plus after a long day of sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again."

"Fake tan stains were in the bath from previous guest. Hot water took almost 10mins to come on. Outdoor had a few broken planters and weeds coming through the floor. Kitchen was closed for maintenance so there was no food options until breakfast the next day. I could hear people going in and out their rooms until about 2am and then starting again at 6am. I have stayed previously and was impressed but this time just felt like lack of care was given."
