"The property is beautiful! The rooms are newly renovated and staff were amazingly attentive. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Whiskey selection is top-shelf (ask to see the hidden whiskey vault). Only rated 5-stars because 6-stars wasn’t an option!"

"Lee- Anne, Anjuli and Nisha made the entire four day stay truly memorable. They offered incredible service and were extremely kind and helpful. We loved the location, just out of the way of Old Town but close enough to all the sights by bus (right outside the hotel). We especially enjoyed the dinner menu as it catered perfectly to vegetarians with a great selection of vegan meals as well. Our room had a lovely view and we had a wonderful experience."

Since the check-in process is entirely self-service, I ran into an issue when my key set did not include the main door entrance key. Fortunately, a staff member was available to assist me; otherwise, I would have been locked out. The room had a noticeable moldy smell, and the washroom did not provide any toiletries, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the bed linens and towels were clean, freshly washed, and...

"Lovely restored house in a neighborhood (more like a B&B). There is a bus that runs into Edinburgh proper or you can take the mile walk. The hotel gives very good recommendations for local dining. Parking can be difficult (limited on-street parking for non-residents). No eating in the rooms."

"This was the perfect hotel as it was close to a train station literally 3 min walk from the hotel and the train would get you to the centre of Edinburgh. The room was amazing, so was the staff and tge food was delicious!"

"It was ok. Location was good for transportation on buses or taxis. The room we got was definitely not a “luxury” hotel room or spacious like advertised and did not look like photos. There was no lift, so they should tell people they have to do stairs. The towel warmer didn’t work and there was no plug in for the hairdryer in the bathroom or anywhere near a mirror. It had a bed and breakfast without the breakfast kind of feel, rather than a “boutique hotel,” so seems a little higher priced...
