"Nice Rigi view with a large room and large balcony. Cows and horses from the nearby farms provided a special experience for the stay. Good for those driving cars. For travellers not renting any cars, the location was quite far away from major Luzern tourist spots and thus inconvenient. Needed to transfer to local bus(es) if you were taking trains. For the room amenities, modern, pretty but impractical."

"It was a pleasure staying at Hotel Lux ... very conveniently located with a Coop closeby...bus station closeby to take bus 2 to Luzern station...room had air conditioner which was blissful in this hot July weather... and the Staff were amazing... really helpful...especially Mikhaila and Regina to mention and off course great breakfast that was included...I highly would recommend this hotel to everyone traveling this way"

"The hotel was the lovely a s the room was comfortable. The room was booked for two people, but it only had one twin size duvet and one bath towel. It wasn’t set up for two people. I’m sure I could have requested more, but we made due. The check in staff were very polite and helpful!"

I understand there may be local regulations regarding air conditioning, but providing only one old, ineffective fan per room is simply not enough. "Great position on the Lake with easy access into Luzern, CHF4 each way. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with standalone Aircon which proved useful during our visit. Be aware most room do not have an unrestricted view of the lake due to a property in front of the hotel. Breakfast is taken across the road at the old hotel, but is good. The restaurant is in the same location across the road and we had a reasonable meal there. There is also a good Brazilian restaurant nearby. Be aware...

"Some staff were wonderful, others mediocre at best. Server at the restaurant told us to order everything together then forgot the appetizer. We were charged an extra 16CHF at the end of the stay that wasn't ours but was charged to the room, surely a mistake but their systems are unfortunately very old and they either can't look it up or don't care to, and the server likely didn't confirm at the time that the room was correct. The hotel appears short staffed so it makes sense this happens. I...
