"The Retreat is gorgeous. The views of the Volcano and Lake are amazing. The pescatarian menu is perfect for vegetarians and pescatarians. All three meals are served. We did not have meals included but very much enjoyed dinner and breakfast there. The pocket sized gathering places are charming - slider over looking lake, dining room and reception, the separate lounge area with tea and coffee looking into the jungle. The evening walk was fun. "Amazing resort and even more amazing staff! The property is gorgeous and lush. It has its own hanging bridge, nature walking trail, and frog and butterfly sanctuary. The buildings are spread out but shuttles/golf carts are available 24/7 to take you to and from various places in the resort. The pool is lovely, with a large warmed area where the swim up bar is located. The restaurant and hotel food is delicious! I would 100% stay here again!"

"Lovely self sustaining eco resort in the midst of the forest. We loved the food, the coziness of the cabin, the yoga classes, and wandering around the property. The farm tour and the night tour were fun activities to do with a 4 year old. We did not like: occasional smell of sewage around the property, especially around the pools. Dated bathrooms in cabins - needs a refresh. Construction noise around the property. "
