"The staff were brilliant and made our stay so enjoyable. Food was excellent both for the breakfast and evening meal. Our Room was cleaning and comfortable with a nespresso machine, premium teabags and fresh milk available from a fridge in the landing were welcome additions. The pub felt warm and cosy was festooned with lovely Christmas decorations. "Our room was very comfortable (especially the bed/mattress) and furnished to a good standard. Nice modern en suite facilities. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful and the location was adjacent to many bars and restaurants and only a 6-7 minute walk from the town centre. Only downside was the expensive local car parking (£22.50 overnight - significantly more than we have experienced elsewhere) with no discount from the hotel"

"We came to visit family who live nearby in the village, so it was very convenient to stay at the Red Lion. The apartment was great, the super-king-sized bed was very comfortable with lovely cotton sheets, and there was a great shower. Staff were very friendly and the apartment block is a short walk from the pub, so it is private and quiet. Would definitely stay again . "
