"Amazing"

"Overcharged us for our stay .. I noticed I got charged $50 extra without any explanation through Expedia. I caught it looking through my credit card transactions. We left room clean after one night for daughter’s graduation nearby. Breakfast is basic. Disappointing.."

"Stayed at two other California hostels in the past couple of years and this one was by far the best. Very private double bed, great bathroom facilities, and overall just a really great experience. My only complaint would be that the kitchen area is small. Hard for more than one person to move around in there."

"We got what we paid for-downtown Gaslamp. We were in walking distance to Petco Park, Little Italy, the waterfront and restaurants. Use the earplugs they provide. The staff was friendly and accommodating. ."

Keep in mind, since it’s right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, the nightlife can be quite lively, which might be disruptive for light sleepers. "Stayed here for 4 nights and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I understand Moxy is meant to be more casual and compact, but the rooms felt old and not well maintained. The bed was uncomfortable, there was barely any closet or storage space, and no complimentary water in the room. Housekeeping only cleaned the room once during my entire stay, and I had to call and request it myself. Overall, the hotel feels overdue for updates and better service standards."
