"We had a wonderful stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They were happy to make restaurant reservations for you. He traditional Japanese meal was very nice and they catered for my dislike of pork and beef. The onsen was lovely and the room was beautiful. If I was returning to Takayama, I would stay again without hesitation."

"We had a wonderful time at this ryokan. We chose this inn specifically for its remote location and traditional atmosphere and were not disappointed. The hotel, outdoor onsen, and woodsy surroundings were all excellent. "Old Showa style minimalistic ryokan, but the room for 5 was spacepus (double room) and the tatami beds and beddings arw comfortable. Self-service to put the futon (which was no problem for us). Power plugs and Wifi were abundant. We were fine with steps but for eldery or disabled it may be a challenge. The hot spring bath was nice.
