"Wevhad a one night stop over to visit relatives. Found the hotel clean, tidy and relaxing. Parking was very good, rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good for the overall price. We will book again "

"This is a hidden gem. It's a charming old manor house with very comfortable rooms and lovely food. The staff can't do enough for you and are extremely helpful. It's set in its own grounds, completely hidden from the road with no noise apart from birdsong and the whispering of the trees."

"One of our rooms was very hot and loud because it’s near the extraction fan from the restaurant. Another room where my parents stayed, the heating was on (during a May heat wave) and the tap/showering water was boiling hot with no cold running at all. The staff came to check, said there are no spare rooms to switch to because of the bank holiday weekend. They called the manager, promised to give me an answer, but then I saw ran to her car and never showed again. I asked another staff member....

Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. A wonderful old building so there are some oddly shaped corridors as you'd expect but they only add charm to what is already a fabulous location and venue. "We stayed at The George Hotel as a midway stop that provided easy access to Bath. We had a standard twin room which was hidden in the back corridors of the hotel. The room was gloomy and in need of an upgrade. It doesn’t match any of the pictures offered by the hotel. Go for the premium rooms they may be what I saw and expected. "Stayed for one night in Room 8, room was clean, spacious and well equipped looking out onto the garden. Full English breakfast was really good, although tea and coffee were extra cost. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Overall a great short stay, we will definitely visit again! "

Very peaceful and quiet, but only minutes from Bath City Centre, either walking or via convenient bus stops. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. "Friendly staff, comfortable clean beds, beds sockets, good shower, ground floor rooms with easy parking. The only downside was there was no food available due to awaiting a new chef fortunately I found out the day before so we didn’t just find out on check in also there was a catering van onsite in the evening we checked in."
