Everything was just perfect! Fatima and her team are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is amazing. The room was very clean, well equipped and the place is very quiet. Will stay again anytime!

Schöne Wohnung mit allem was man für ein paar Tage benötigt. Die Terasse und der angrenzende Garten laden in jedem Fall zum verweilen ein. Highlight war aber auf alle Fälle das Frühstück mit vielen regionalen Produkten.

Ancienne maison familiale rénovée et très bien aménagée, chambres spacieuses, et au calme, avec très bonne literie. Bon petit-déjeuner avec produits locaux (fruits, fromages, pains). Parking bien dimensionné et beau jardin. Hôtesse très sympathique et attentionnée. Nombreux restaurants dans le bourg. Très bonne adresse !

I cannot say enough positive things about this location and the host! It has amazing views, the breakfast was wonderful, and Fatima and her staff are simply outstanding! The rooms have a great view, and they are big with a comfortable bed. When we go back to the Azores we will definitely be staying here again!

Lovely setting and beautiful house

Beautiful house set in a small town. Very gracious hosts provide a beautiful local breakfast. Close to main square able to cook a meal a little trouble finding it but helpful locals pointed us in the right direction.

This place was amazing, definitely our favorite stay while we were on the island. The room was huge and perfect for my group of 3 girls. It is super cute too. Self check in process is always nice too. Took us a second to find the door we needed to enter but everything was super easy after that. The garden was beautiful and I wish we had more time to spend there. The breakfast was great too! They provided a selection of cheese, bread, yogurt, fruit, and meat. The staff was super nice and didn’t seem to mind that we didn’t speak Portuguese. The location was fine, about a 20 min drive from Furnas. Easy enough to get around to the different sights on the east side of the island. Would highly recommend!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre sejour de trois nuits. Hébergement calme, bien situé, beaux espaces pour relaxer sur le site. À quelques minutes en voiture de Povoacao, pour des restaurants. Très bons services clients et conseils pour visiter les environs. On y retournerait sans hésiter!

Lovely stay!

I had a lovely stay at Casa da Cisaltina. Fatima, the owner, made me feel right at home and was very helpful with information about things to do in the area and suggestions! The breakfast was delicious and included her homemade jams. There is a wonderful view out the backyard of the northside of the caldera. Added bonus is the parking on site - a car is definitely necessary in the Povocao area and eastern side of the island.

Everything is thoughtfully designed, spotless, and cosy, with just the right touch of tradition preserved in the details. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Breakfast was another standout moment each day — generous, delicious, and full of local flavours. From homemade jams to fresh breads and regional products, every morning felt like a celebration of São Miguel’s culinary traditions. What made the experience even more special were the stories shared about the house and the neighbourhood. Learning about the history of the property and the surrounding area added depth and meaning to our stay, making us appreciate the place even more.Casa da Cisaltina is the kind of accommodation that stays with you long after you leave — beautiful, welcoming, and full of heart. We left with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return. Highly recommended.

Vacances idylliques

Sejour en famille 2 adultes, 2 enfants. Rien à redire tout était parfait. Le ménage est fait quotidiennement. L’appartement était très bien équipé. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel et typique des Açores. Personnel au petit soin et très à l’écoute. Je recommande a 200%.

Breakfast was amazing, with a variety of fresh local fruits, cheese and breads, and very tasty homemade jams. The host, Ms. Fatima, was very helpful with the planning of our activities on the island, and suggested many interesting places to visit. I really hope to visit again someday.

The place is extremely quiet and the view from my room was beautiful (view on the mountain and on the house's garden). Fatima and her colleagues were so welcoming. The breakfast is so varied (local cheese, ham, fruit and bread, beautiful jams). Perfect for a quiet stay and if you want to enjoy this part of São Miguel. Fatima gave me excellent advice about the area.

Boa estadia, recomendo.

Zona sossegada, perto da natureza com uma grande vista. Ideal para quem procura sossego, à noite ouvem-se grilos, de manhã ouvem-se pássaros. Pequeno-almoço muito completo com produtos locais.
