"Second year we have stayed there for a local family reunion. No complaints or issues. Well cared for property, helpful staff. decent breakfast and conveniently located to Ankeny/north Des Moines properties. Will stay again,"

"We stayed at Econo Lodge in room 228 for one night and the room has BED BUGS! Once we realised that , we contacted the hotel but the staff was not helpful at all. We were told that the rooms are clean and that we were supposed to let them know at the time of stay (which was 1 night in our case). I would not recommend staying at this hotel, especially in room 228."

"I have stayed here several times. I have never had a problem. The staff is friendly, the grounds are always maintained and look great. I have not used the pool, but it always look good."

"Very clean property, room was awesome (big and spacious!), clean. My husband and boys ate breakfast and said it was really good. The only downfall was the pool. The water was cold. My 4 kids (11,9, 6 and 5) look forward to swimming at hotels and they maybe got in for 10 minutes."

"I would stay there again, I have to set the room was clean except I found some ants on the bed?? Maybe from left over food in the room from previous guests or possible pets that were in there??? Not a fan of pets allowed into hotel rooms.. other than that I will stay there again."

"My chain lock fell off. I moved a chair in front of the door. My card stopped working twice to unlock my door. The halls were noisy. Someone tried to open my door a few times."

"The Ankeny Diner delayed breakfast opening until 9am because of Father's day brunch. There were no signs or notices, and according to another guest the front desk clerk didn't even know about it, nobody at the hotel was made aware of "no breakfast" ahead of time."
