"Clean room but bathroom needs some refurbishment, especially around the toilet. Bed was really comfortable, which was surprising as it looked exactly the same type of bed I slept in at The Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle a few weeks ago which was so uncomfortable I ached all over when I got up. I would have mentioned it to the Receptionist on checking out but I wasn't asked. Staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. We were not happy with first room allocated on the 2nd floor, view made it feel like a prison but was re-allocated a room on the 4th with a lovely view of the canal. Breakfast was OK but not very hot - I hate cold mushrooms! Bar pleasant but not very big. We had a drink on the afternoon but it was too busy for us to enjoy a drink after 10.30pm so we didn't bother."

"Stayed in executive room, heating stuck on tropical 27 degrees. Asked staff to sort it or move room, they allegedly sorted it whilst we used the lounge. Room was cooler on return but then back to 27 degrees by midnight until check out, hardly any sleep before a long haul flight!! Staff a reception’s attitude was poor all they advised was to email complaint! Still awaiting a response!!!"
