"The apartment was clean, spacious and had all the amenities we needed for a short stay in Varenna. It is located very close to the local bars and restaurants and a 15 minute walk from the train station. The self check-in process was simple, although the instructions we were sent had the wrong box described for our apartment, but it was self explanatory once we got there as the boxes are all lettered. A bottle of red wine was left for us on check in, which was a lovely touch and greatly...

"Incredible view , nice apartment , decent facilities, BUT the car park is an absolute nightmare. Speaking to some of the permanent residents , every car ends up scratched or scuffed. Road up to the apartment is windy but worth it for the views."

"Beautiful spot, but difficult to access without a rental car. We were travelling on foot/train/bus and we had to rely solely on the 2 or 3 taxis in the township. The walk was ok downhill, but very arduous going back (We're in our 70's). We chose Varenna as it much more affordable than Ballagio, and the views are simply breathtaking. With a car, this would have been perfect, but we also found that the locals were very accommodating and actually took us home in their own vehicles a few...

"OMG Lake Como in Varenna was Amazing! We stayed at the Amazing Life House for five nights in May 2025. The Amazing Life House is actually an apartment on the back side of a condo/apartment rental building near the Varenna Ferry dock. The apartment is very well appointed with a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room. We really liked that the apartment included a washing machine so we could do laundry and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and dishwasher so we could make breakfast...

"The location of this property is perfect. It’s in the main plaza and not to far from the water. 12 minute walk to the ferry & train station. However, they have limited office hours which complicates things if you are getting in pretty late. Grabbing the keys from their office and walking another 12 mins to the actual property was pretty inconvenient (especially if you have luggages). The actual property is really nice and small, good for couples. "
