"Breakfast was poor for inflated room rates for Sun n fun fly in but there is a Waffel House across the highway. Prices were at least triple the regular prices and the place needs a serious rehab. The water pressure is good, the rest not so much."

"I had an absolutely horrible experience here. So bad that even though I had a room booked through the weekend, I left at 5am on my first night. I wish I could’ve left sooner. My room was awful. The floors were disgusting, the shower had black mold in the tub, the shower curtain had many stains including blood, the toilet wasn’t clean, nor was the one towel I was given. The bed was horrible too. The blankets had holes in them like someone put out their cigarettes in them. The mattress was also...

"Some of these five star reviews must be bots. Wasn’t expecting a 5 star property, but no matter the budget, cleanliness should be priority. Upon check in, the sheets were dirty, the fridge in the kitchen was black with mold, and there were roaches IN the room. If the hotel cannot manage the cleanliness of the kitchenette and is now harboring roach infestation, then they need to do something about that design. It’s a health issue. Absolutely appalling. "

"Room was clean, staff responsive, it is an older property and needs updating. Room had a Venetian blind but no drape. Sink and bathtub had cracks and peeling on bottom. No closet. Breakfast was lacking. We came down at 910 and there was literally nothing left and we were told it ends at 930."

"Not enough towels, towels were dirty and smelled odd. Bed sheets were dirty. After calling the front desk, I was told no extra towels and if i wanted new clean ones to bring her the dirty ones. No extra pillows, no extra blanket. Staff wanted to argue. Parking lot had loud people drinking and partying. Terrible hotel."

"Staff was very friendly. Room was bright and decorated nicely, though small as is to be expected at a historic hotel. It was very expensive when we were there, and I don't think worth the price. It appears to be a grand historic hotel, but there's no lobby to appreciate this -- only the dining room. There's no big historic lobby area, just a normal check-in desk. It is really the only place to stay if you want to be in downtown Lakeland, which is nice. We did enjoy walking around the small town....
