"The breakfast was, I’d say, better than in a Hotel Ibis. The food was, definitely, locally sourced. We reached Bruton and the Hauser & Wirth arts complex easily from this hotel. We also visited the Jurassic Coast, but that took us a whole day, and we returned by 10pm."

"Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that."

Neither we nor the hotel manager could shut them off. One single fan provided little/no relief and room temp was + 30c degrees and never got to a comfortable temp overnight. Open windows didn’t help much. Almost zero sleep. Couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. Shame as the room and bed were otherwise good. Just couldn’t enjoy either. Big...

"Lovely location. Friendly welcoming staff. Great guest experience from all members of staff. Fabulous food and beverages. Would definitely stay there again. Negatives if I'm being picky: We had to ask for sugar at breakfast every day and butter once. Trivial compared to the overall experience."

"A great breakfast, the room we had was next door to the two water heaters, making the room very hot indeed other than that a good stay and staff were very attentive, will definitely go again but not in the same room, breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal parking is good also with no extra charges."
