Everything was good but the food varieties and it was the same time every day,so it got plain at some point ,don't expect to much from the buffet's but the restaurant's were nice and had lots of options

Needs better management to pay attention to details. For example, we book two rooms. One room was for 5 people and only one umbrella was found. If you know 5 people are coming common sense is to put more than 1 umbrella. The other room had no umbrella and took over 2 days to get just one. Shower head holder in bathrooms were loose and water was splashing everywhere. Only buffet was available, all restaurants were book for our entire 5 day stay unless we wanted to have dinner after 9pm. Poor planning by hotel management.

The resort is on the smaller side designed similarly to a shopping center, with everything (restaurants, bars and nightlife) centered around the two pools. The bar staff is very friendly even if you don't tip them which isn't always the case in the DR (which was very nice to see). The Wi-Fi is weak when not in the front desk/lobby area, so plan accordingly if you need to work or need steady service. The front desk/check-in process was easy, dinner reservations have to be made either on the app or the reservation office around the corner from the front desk. The buffet is limited and very repeated, so we recommend making dinner reservations as much as you can. They were good! When sitting to eat at the buffet, its first come, first, serve and a bit of a free for all as opposed to someone sitting you like at other resorts, so better to plan when it's not the busiest of times. Guests get up early and put beach towels on chairs around the beach and pool whether they're there or not, so be ready to do the same (super annoying). The towels process is pretty pointless. The maid replaces a towel on a 1:1 basis, but if the towel is on a chair then she won't replace it so you essentially use the same beach towel the entire time you're there. Shower towels were replaced more often and the room was cleaned on a daily basis. Our maid was VERY nice and we made sure we tipped at the end!

There was a leak in the bathroom that my wife almost wiped out twice from. The maintenance man came and looked at it a said would fix the next day, take about 3 hrs. Did not happen. So we had to use towels everyday to soak up the water. Other than that, it was a fairly good trip.

My experience wasn’t the best. The staff, from the lobby to the buffet and especially the coffee shop, often seemed like they didn’t want to be bothered. The elevator wasn’t working, there was no hot water, and the food was disappointing. On the positive side, the beach was beautiful and clean, which was definitely a highlight. To be fair, this was just my experience—others may feel differently. The only people who seemed genuinely happy were the entertainment crew… and the timeshare reps trying to sign you up.

Over the past few years, we've vacationed in Punta Cana, CapCana, LaRomana, Juan Dolio, Santo Domingo and Puerto Plata. The staff at Emotions were pleasant and helpful However, the hotel itself was older, dated and badly maintained. The Bathroom roofs leaked, air conditioners didn't work and the overall experience suffered

The resort is nice and well laid out. The room was absolutely beautiful and the beach was great. The reservation-only restaurants were decent, but the buffet was inedible. There is a bar on the resort called "Opus", which is only available for "Elite" members, so don't go in there. The service at the hotel was a little sub-par. The bar ran out of things constantly (including tequila) and we were only able to rent enough towels on 1 of the 4 days we were there. The resort also has a weird way of communicating requests, through their app, which doesn't make clear which services are available to you before you request it (i.e., you can order breakfast room service on the app, then 24 hours later they will tell you that the service isn't available). The resort also wasn't the best for a young couple looking to party (both in our late 20s) - definitely more of a vibe for seniors and families. We also recommend taking some time to visit Puerto Plata off-resort. The Uber there was cheap and it's a 15-min drive. Overall, although we did have a decent time, we probably wouldn't come back here.

Tried to add two nights ,dealt with Expedia and the Emotions staff total waste of our time ,been traveling for over 35 years haven’t used Expedia very often and now I know why .Certainly put a major damper on our honeymoon and family.

We had a very nice experience!!! It was our first time doing an all inclusive so we did not know what to expect! The food was meh….not much flavor and just underwhelming….didn’t really care for the cafeteria vibe. The best meals were breakfast and the make your own omelette station was on point. The beach access with beach loungers were amazing! The readily available drinks…although they were not at all top shelf were good. The best part of the trip was Chemi in the wine bar, Oak! He hooked us up with a lot of wine and got us into some of the restaurants where we had excellent meals that weren’t cafeteria style dining! He really made the experience memorable!
