However the trip was for 3 and I have a family of 5 so we booked another room separately. This apparently caused an issue in so many ways. "Sosúa by the Sea is a hidden gem. The staff was amazing and the hotel is well kept. The rooms are rustic and the amenities are very nice. This is not an all-inclusive hotel so please note that you will have pay for your food, drinks and room safe. The views are breathtaking. My husband and I will be back next year."

"1st time staying in Cabarete. This was the perfect place to stay. Very clean, nice staff and very close to everything. Grocery store, the beach and nightlife within walking distance. Would definitely recommend to others. Will definitely return soon."

"They offer you a contract and show you all rooms that you can have access if you part of their membership. You spend all day and the beginning they just tell you that they gonna give you a tour but at the end they want you to accept the contract to become member and they get mad at you just because you don’t want that contract. Food is bad . Everything is fare away , u have to take a bus to go anywhere ."

"I have been returning to Velero Beach Resort multiple times over the past 20 years. The stay is always wonderful. The staff are exceptionally gracious and the location right on the water's edge is magnificent. Daily breakfast in the Sunset Grill is always a treat, only to be surpassed by watching sunset from the same location for dinner. I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely be back again."
