"Great stay. Clean and great location. Only beef is partial ocean view means it is first floor(listed as second floor but that’s the first floor of the living complex) nice view of bushes, peeking at ocean over top. Still, clean and great stay."

"Hallway carpets and elevator were filthy. Hot tub under construction, not that I would ever use it. Didn’t look at breakfast room. Not my kind of hotel, never again. "

"Location is perfect but nobody informed about the beach and the pier in the pictures was closed due to an erosion problem .. so we could not enjoy the days as expected .. we had to drive to spy beach one day which is not what we want to do .. your Expedia pictures are not updated to recent months .. ! "Room was a bit dated but spotless, the staff excellent, fabulous location and views. Only drawback was the beach had suffered storm erosion and it and the beach bar was closed. Jetty park and beautiful beaches very close by. The restaurant, a separate attached business, was always hopping with great food and extensive bar with excellent staff. I expect to return many times. "Loved the staff, especially the pool staff, beach staff, front desk and managers. Opal runs a wonderful hotel where you don’t get that “corporate” feel. Hotel is older but they redid it and it’s lovely. Front desk staff Brendan was awesome too. "

"I love this place. The property is right on the beach. Feels very private since its not a huge hotel. The beach was not crowded on a Saturday, it almost felt like we had the beach to ourselves at one point. The staff was very nice & the free breakfast is very convenient. I will be back soon! "
