"We arrived to 4 cars of cops on the property and were told they were breaking up fights on the beach and at the bar. I was instantly concerned but assured that it was only because it was memorial Day weekend and the crowds would die down after.
This was true. The following days were much calmer. The property was located in a great spot with beautiful views. Everything was recently renovated and clean. Staff inside the hotel were very friendly.
I am unsure if the hotel is the one that places chairs on the beach in front of the property and rents them or an outside company, but this was a bummer as they take up all of the space in front of the hotel so that if you don't rent their chairs, you have no space to set up your own chairs beach front. You're also not allowed to take coolers with food or drink down to the beach in an attempt to force you to buy food and drinks from the hotel. This felt very sleazy to us and we didn't spend much time on the beach as a result.
The pool was nice and never crowded.
I would recommend the hotel if you're okay with the whole money hungry capitalism thing. Personally, it's not really my thing, and I won't stay here again."
