Rooms were clean. We were upgraded to a castle view room. The sofa was torn and some of the pillows but we were not using them so it didn’t bother us. The refrigerator kept things cool but not your at home cool. Mini bar is restocked everyday. Definitely bring your own sunscreen it’s $40usd a bottle at the gift shop. And a floaty for a baby was also $40usd. Family friendly, food is mediocre, overall it’s worth it to us and the kids love it.

Was very kid friendly and the staff was amazing a lot of things to do. All of the pools close at 6 PM and the buffet lines are long be patient with the staff. They are amazing and they try their best overall great experience for the price.

Gracias a todo el equipo por una estancia excelente; de verdad recomiendo este hotel al 100%, especialmente si viajas con niños. Gracias a todos ustedes puedo decir que escogí el mejor hotel para pasar mi cumpleaños. Queremos agradecer de manera especial a los chicos de recepción Andres, Eduardo y Andrés por su atención tan amable y profesional; también a los muchachos del buffet por su dedicación, y en especial a Karelin y a Leydi del bar por su trato tan cariñoso. Un agradecimiento muy especial a los muchachos del parque de agua, José y Juanca Carlos, por hacer que la diversión de los niños fuera inolvidable, y a Wiliam, el salvavidas de la piscina, siempre atento y pendiente de la seguridad. No puedo dejar de mencionar a María fernanda de housekeeping; su trato fue el mejor, nos mantuvo la habitación siempre súper limpia y acogedora, e hizo que todo fuera aún más especial. Mis niños la pasaron súper bien y disfrutaron muchísimo cada momento. Sin duda, fue una experiencia maravillosa que volveríamos a repetir.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bahia Principe! As a family of 4, this was one of the best vacations we’ve had. The resort was beautiful, the staff was friendly, and there was always something to do. What really stood out was how much they cater to kids. There were so many family-friendly activities, and our children had an amazing time every single day. It made the trip so much more relaxing for us as parents because there was always entertainment, great food options, and plenty for the kids to enjoy. The rooms were comfortable, the pools were great, and the overall atmosphere was so fun and welcoming. We made so many great memories here and would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend for families looking for a resort that truly makes kids feel included and keeps everyone happy!

We had a great time overall, especially for my 8‑year‑old. The pool was the highlight — always something going on, and the evening entertainment (kids’ disco, karaoke, face painting) was a big hit. She didn’t use the kids’ club much because she made friends around the resort, which was easy since there were lots of families. The beach and water were also fantastic, and you can move between the nearby sister resorts, which is a nice bonus. Where things fell short was the service and the buffet experience. I’ve stayed at other Bahia Principe resorts and the service has always been excellent, so this was disappointing. It was hard to get basic things like water or coffee, and when coffee did come, milk never came with it. Many mornings the tables weren’t set with cutlery or napkins, and staff often seemed disengaged or even annoyed when we asked for something. The live cooking stations were also slow — omelettes made one at a time even though there was entire grill available, and pasta chefs walking away mid‑dish. It just didn’t feel efficient or guest‑focused. The rooms were very basic. They were fine for sleeping, but nothing special. If you want something nicer, I’d recommend looking at the other Bahia Principe resorts on the same property — you can still access the Explore Legend but get a better room experience. Great for kids and the pool/beach, but service and room quality definitely need improvement. I wish the attention to service was the same across all resorts.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my children, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The property is in poor condition and clearly not well maintained. Starting with the rooms, there was a very strong musty smell, and the beds, pillows, and overall environment felt dusty and unclean. The sheets and towels were stained, which made us very uncomfortable. The bathroom was also in bad condition. Every time someone took a shower, water would leak out and flood the entire bathroom floor. Additionally, the air conditioning barely worked—it felt more like a fan and did not cool the room at all. To make matters worse, one night the electricity went out for two hours. This was extremely unpleasant, especially with the heat and mosquitoes. My daughter ended up with more than 10 mosquito bites. I was very surprised that a hotel like this does not have a backup generator. Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I would not recommend this hotel to families or anyone looking for a comfortable stay.

This Hyatt property has a different understanding of the term all inclusive that I had expected. Dinner reservations at the restaurants 5:30 pm. The buffet had a wide variety but the food was almost always cold and insipid. Want wine? $60-80+. Want steak? $45-85. AC and electricity was on and off many times. One night the lights went on and off more than a dozen times. Impossible to rest. Staff seemed disinterested in helping. Often had to ask 4 or 5 times to get something simple. Like bottled water. And the ‘club’ presentation? The ask was for an hour with breakfast. Reality was almost 4 hours of ineffective salesmanship. The irony was that we were interested but the club sales team could not or would not get to the point. What a waste of time. The reward? A spa voucher that didn’t even cover half the cost of a basic massage. Never again. Spend your money on elsewhere. This was very poor all around. I won’t be reserving anything Hyatt for a very long time. This was a major disappointment.

En general todo estuvo bien. Lo único malo es que la gente que atiende en el buffet (no todos) no son tan atentos. De echo llegamos a pensar que por ser hispanos no te atienden igual. Pero la gente de los restaurantes fueron muy atentos. Las camareras muy atentas también. En general nuestro viaje estuvo bien. No creo que volvería a quedarme en bahía príncipe legend. Buscaría otras opciones.

Very kid friendly! Our kids enjoyed the multiple pools and different water features. They had different water entertainment during the day such as a paddle board race, aqua show and an inflatable activity. Amazing dinner show at Onerio! A silent disco, and neon show as well.

The place is great for kids as there is a great kids club and kids activities for the kids to meet new friends. The food isn’t good and the hotel is run down… definitely don’t think it’s a four star…
