All the staff was truly excellent. Ygnacia, he kept my room clean.My bed made at all times. She was such a delight to see every morning with her smile. And her friendly demeanor. Jose, from the sports bar made excellent drink. And also was very friendly. David and Sonia from the buffet restaurant have excellent customer service skills. Some of my concerns were the prices.And the gift shop, and in the coffee shop. I wanted to buy an after sun lotion that in the gift shop was $35. The same lotion I purchased on Amazon was $12. A souvenir mug I wanted to purchase from your gift shop was $40. Starbucks does not even sell their mugs for $40.

Beautiful resort. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms are spacious. We did the junior swim up corner suite. Also bought the joyful wedding package. Big shout out to Sara for helping us coordinate the wedding! Everything was perfect and we will be back! Loved the Yurta restaurant by far!! We went twice.

Room service breakfast. They set it up for you. 39-45 min wait time

First, let me remind everyone a review is an opinion. I just got back from spending 5 nights at Luxury Ambar with two friends. I'll start with the things we liked. The beach was absolutely amazing. The sand is super soft and the water is amazingly clear. Yes, I know it is busy season. The beach was mega crowded. People were literally within arms reach all around us. We had no problem getting chairs because there were very kind staff members willing to set us up. Yes, we did tip them, which we felt was deserved. The pool is also amazing. It is huge and did not ever feel crowded (in the pool). The pool deck is very busy and packed tightly. The loungers are so close together, it is sometimes difficult to get up and down. The drink service at the pool and on the beach is sporadic. It seems there are not enough servers to handle the number of guests. Not horrible, because you can be patient or walk to the bar. We are not big drinkers, so this was not a problem for me. Strange thing: you cannot get water bottles at pool or on beach. If you request water, it will come in a small cup. You need to bring water bottles from your room. Towels can be limited. You need to give your room number to get towels. If you would like to get dry ones later in the day, they are often gone. The grounds are pretty, but dark in the evening. There are cats, they are rather cute and did not bother us. We had a swim out room. The swim out is lovely, but not private at all. Our

Food wasnt great. Bed wasnt nice at all. They switched us rooms 2x due to wrong room given first night and ac broken in new room the 2nd night. Staff wasnt too friendly. Its not a bad resort, but not worth what they charge per night. Ive been to la quinta hotels with nicer rooms

I highly recommend this hotel. Food was excellent, and the rooms were very clean. The staff was excellent. I would really pay attention to the ocean water as a lot of people, including myself got stung by a jellyfish not the hotel's fault, but I feel like there should be some warnings

Room was nice, clean and housekeeping staff were good, as were the staff throughout the property. Property itself was lovely and well maintained. While we found the à la carte restaurants a bit below the quality of other Bahia resorts, no specific complaints and food was generally good.

Seems like this resort has lost its luster. Definitely not a 5 star . Food needs to be better and more options without paying a premium. I would rate this resort 3.5 stars. Staff are great and rooms can use an upgrade .

Check in process is a nightmare! Told to come back then waited another 1:45 hr. Pool waitstaff was very great. They saved the trip. Marline at the pool was fabulous. Very difficult to get reservations at not very busy restaurants. Made promises to have reservations. Food was ok, Best bar was the one in the front of hotel. Advertised as luxury talked with other guests that said it has gone downhill. This was my second time. Been to many Hyatt properties. This one especially the front desk did Not live up to the reputation.

Clean rooms. We had fantastic stay on the property. The beach was very clean and luckily swimming in the ocean was allowed even though there were red flags around the neighbouring properties. The white party on the beach was amazing. Friendly staff. The property is quite big and requires pick up and drop off rides which they call train rides. We found the on property transportation a nuisance as there were no sidewalks and have to be watchful. In general the drivers wont stop for pedestrians to cross. There were restrictions to explore and check out other areas.

Resort is beautiful! Staff is courteous and very responsive. Ambar is the best, hands down! We have stayed at Bahia 7 times in the past 4 years and have never been disappointed.

Beach was beautiful, sports bar was great, good assortment of events/activities, but food was not as high quality, a little confusing to find way around, and didn’t have hot water most days during our stay

The staff was PHENOMENAL! We had some experiences that would have been rated lower if the staff hadn't been so friendly and outstanding. For example, the ceiling in our room leaked after a rainfall, so much so that the ceiling fell down. The staff however was very responsive and quick to patch it up.

Room condition was good. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was good. Bed was not comfortable. Spacious but very hard. Pillows are average. Next, we were promised by the hotel manager a swim out room that was going to be in the sun. My wife and I were switched after two days, how are we lost the first two days of that amenity. Next, my wife’s AirPods were stolen by the staff. We know this because we were able to track the AirPods to a location near the resort. Security promised they would do everything they could to look into it, however very little was done. They want us to go to the local police, but we all know that nothing would be done by them. Also, when we arrived at the resort, there was a discrepancy in my price that I paid online and with the resort.. the resort promised to do everything they could to remedy this, however, a slight reduction in price was all the did. I didn’t have much of a choice, but to pay it because you were stuck in a Third World country with not much options at the last minute. It was quite disheartening. Lastly, I have significant sand flea bites on my legs. The resort states they treat for this however I would tell you that the past week at the resort and home have been absolutely miserable. I’m now currently being treated by a physician because it’s that significant. So for the price you pay for the resort, buyer beware.
