room was clean, hotel staff was amazing. the pools and common areas were great. the only thing that i didnt like was the food at the restaurants. the buffet was great, it saved the food situation.

The staff were sometimes helpful. However, I was a Diamond Club member. The women in the cafeteria were rude!!!! I ate at the Selections buffet every night because I was dining alone. Very rude!

The amenities were great for a family with kids/pre-teens. The food was meh. The rooms were basic but clean and had everything you need. To book reservations at the restaurants, you need to book through the app. The app always said the restaurants were full. Even when the reservations opened up at midnight two nights before, they would still show as fully booked. We had to tip a worker to help us make a reservation. I wish it had been easier to do on your own. My son cut his foot open in a pool one day because there were broken tiles everywhere. The medical centre was very helpful and bandaged it up for us. The majority of the staff seemed to be miserable. Overall, our stay was good for what we paid, however I would have been disappointed if we had paid more.

Breakfast was probably the best thing they had going. If you are not at the Royalton Punta Cana side they make you feel like a step child. Never going back to this resort again

Upon check-in front desk staff was not friendly. At the buffet it took a long time for service to get a beverage after being seated, there were many meals we finished eating before a server would even approach our table. Extremely difficult to get a dinner reservation prior to 9pm if you are not DC. Unless you’re showing cash at the swim up bar it was hard to get service. The younger male staff were always occupied drinking and talking amongst themselves at swim up bar. Our room was not properly cleaned. When looking behind the dresser and nightstand to plug in chargers there were many empty water bottles and tags from previous guests and a pair of shorts from a previous guest were found under the bed. Pool was often not very clean , lots of adults smoking cigarettes on the pool deck and in the pool and staff didn’t seem to care. The waterpark has a shortage of tubes so you’re often waiting in line for a tube. Wave pool floor was pretty sharp on your feet when walking in. No shortage of food , it wasn’t bad. Unless your going to get a shaded pool chair at 5 am your probably not getting one, for a family friendly resort I expected more shade or umbrellas.

In general it was lovely. Everything was quite clean and staff very courteous and helpful. One complaint I have is that the tile surface in the water park was quite slippery. I am old and walk slowly and still had difficulty. I also found it impossible to get reservations for the restaurants prior to 9pm but no one would explain to me why. I checked the app exactly when I was told, to get reservations but still no luck. I feel like there was something left unsaid. Like did we have to be Diamond Club or was there some gratuity expected to get a reservation prior to 9pm. We could see that these restaurants were not very busy at 8pm

Overall it was an okay experience, will I go back, probably not. We never got a tour of the resort from our concierge, so we had to find everything ourselves. Our room was a bit falling apart, the bathroom door handle was falling off, that door also wouldn’t shut. The bathroom walls had quick “fix up” jobs that weren’t done well, chunks of shower wall stone missing, no blow dryer but patched up holes of where it used to be. The light on the fan didn’t work so our room was quite dark, but at night time we didn’t mind as our AC was amazing! Our family members in a different building had a nicer room but no AC, so I didn’t really want to complain! Also the floors in the room didn’t look clean, although I know the cleaning ladies mopped daily, but not sure how well they did it as my son’s feet were always dirty. He did wear shoes most of the time but sometimes he just didn’t want to (he’s 4 and has autism). The “doorstop” in the room was a dangerous piece of metal sticking out of the ground to stop the door from hitting the wall! Lastly, the pool did have some broken tiles in it, which I read about before we left so I bought water shoes, and the one day my daughter didn’t wear them, she cut her toe! So just be careful! The staff was friendly and helpful! Chef Enrique and the server Leidey (pronounced as Lady) from the Selections buffet were always AMAZING! We always found something to eat. Bars were good too.The splash park was fun, and the beach was a trolley ride away!

Todo estaba excelente!!! En lo q deben mejorar es en el aire acondicionado en el aérea del BUFFET y la discoteca estaba dañado o no enfriaba por que hacía demasiada calor. Por todo los demás está excelente.

Staff was food and bar staff were very friendly. The property was not well kept and cleanliness was an issue. We had to request on 2 occasions for the room sheets to be changed as they had spots and stains. The AC to room 24201 was no functional the full stay and the front desk staff did little to nothing to attempt to fix.

Room was clean and decently appointed. We were in a family suite that was a squeeze for 5 people, but appreciated the option to all be in one room. Buffet restaurant was ok, very busy and sometimes long waits for eggs/pasta/grill. Waterpark was a big hit with our children, and we spent time there every day of the vacation. Beach was excellent, recommend diamond club for ability to access beach chairs, and food/drinks there. The wait at the regular bar and restaurant was unreasonable otherwise.

Pros- Good food, beds where comfortable, friendly stuff, water park was great. Resort is big. They do have a pick up and drop off locations if you want a ride instead of walking. Every 15mins ish. The wrist band is also the key to the door which i loved. Didnt have to carry a key around or worry about lossing it. Cons- Shower leaked a bit, just put towels down when showering. Patio door was hard to open but doable. The glass on the patio needed to be cleaned. Kids slabber prints from before us.

Absolutely loved my stay! The staff was friendly, the rooms were spotless, and the amenities were top-notch. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this resort.

This was a great resort overall especially if travelling with kids. Always lots to do with nice pools and the water park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with the only issue being that our shower leaked which caused the bathroom floor to flood.

As a Marriott Platinum Elite member, I was very disappointed that this resort did not honor my Marriott status. The front desk told me they could not help because that was “a Marriott thing,” and even said they were “Royalton,” not Marriott. I was eventually directed to Carlos F., a Marriott ambassador, who tried to help but confirmed the resort was not going to honor the benefit. What made this especially frustrating is that I was not asking for much. I simply wanted access to the area my status should have provided, mainly the shaded pool area so I could watch my three kids play comfortably. Instead, it felt like the resort cared more about pushing its Diamond Club than taking care of guests. Other issues included hard beds, misleading descriptions online about beach access and hotel amenities, long waits for the tram, limited food/snack access near Building 25, and maintenance issues like water leaking through a public bathroom roof when it rained. The men’s bathroom by the buffet also seemed to be down constantly. There were a few positives: Carlos F. did try to assist, the buffet staff were pleasant, and the bellhops were helpful. But overall, the stay was disappointing and felt misleading. I expected much better service and transparency from a property connected to Marriott.
