The resort is very clean however the rooms a bit outdated our main door was broken no one came to repair The pools are amazing , beach 10 minutes walk They prioritize the dimond members which makes us feel left out if you are a regular member The staff in general not very friendly, not smily and can’t respond to any requests, the only staff that is amazing are the entertainment staff Italian restaurant not good at all My phone was stolen at the restaurant and security had to go get it where the staff stays overnight , I got no excuses at all it’s unacceptable

We took our two boys out of Canada for the very first time to Royalton Splash Punta Cana. There were things that were great and also not so great!! I found the trip to be on the expensive side as it is, and upon arrival the check in lady demanded we upgraded to “diamond club” just to have a room with two beds which was absolutely absurd. She said rooms depended on arrival even tho I had booked 6 months in advance. They also told us we couldn’t access anything on the resort including casino, beach restaurants, etc unless we were diamond club. Which is completely false as we accessed all without upgrading. On the brighter side of things. The room was always incredibly clean, the housekeepers were fantastic. Also lots of activity for the whole family. Always somewhere to get a snack for the family. Our youngest is 5 and was OBSESSED with kids club, he never wanted to leave and that was great. Also shuttle was super convenient for getting to the water park and beach. Without diamond club you can still have a great vacation with your family. Just don’t be surprised when they charge you extra fees for restaurants and treat you like garage if you aren’t diamond club lol

We were at Royalton Splash in Feb 2026 with Diamond club access. Bad Experience - We ate at Grazie one of their fine Italian restaurant our last night. After waiting for over an hour they served us 2 pizzas - thoroughly uncooked and raw. We asked for the chef and showed him the inedible uncooked food served to us, and he agreed this should not be served. While all this was happening our 2 sons ate their pasta which visually seemed to be ok. Later that night both kids threw up all night, cried form pain and we had housekeeping change our bed covers several times. It was form the pasta they both had! Next morning we complaint and there was no action or assurance done by the hotel. We spent all night in pain and agony and they still charged us for that. A friendly staff member told us other guests who ate their last night were sick too. THEY SERVED ROTTEN FOOD AND MADE PEOPLE SICK AND TOOK NO ACCOUNTABILITY!! Not SO BAD - I wasn't really impressed with the Diamond club benefits as i did not experience anything other than someone else doing your dinner reservations...which was pretty easy to do through the app. But the waterpark, the pools and the entertainment was good and enjoyable for the kids. Beach was nice and clean. But for the the way the resort management dismissed our Food Poisoning complaint and did not act on it, shows their commitment towards their guests. For this reason i wont be going o this property again neither would i recommend it to anyone!

Overall, this property suffers from poor communication and inconsistent service, which significantly affected our stay. From the start, there was a lack of transparency at check-in. Guests staying at Splash are not clearly informed that restaurants on the Punta Cana side are not included. This is only mentioned later, along with an added cost of $48 per person. In my opinion, this upgrade is not worth it. The food was mediocre at best. The so-called “steakhouse” served the same meat offered at the buffet, making the additional $98 for two people feel like a complete rip-off. Throughout the stay, the most frustrating issue was the constant lack of basic items. I repeatedly heard “no hay” (“we don’t have”) to the point where it became almost comical. This included requests for fried cheese at the buffet, bottled water at restaurants, smoothies at Scoops, ketchup for a burger, pool towels on three different occasions, and even a mango smoothie at the bar. The frequency of this response was shocking and unacceptable for a resort. Cleanliness was also an issue. Our room was not properly cleaned, and when I stepped into the shower, there was hair in the drain from the previous guest, which was disgusting. Room service was another disappointment, with quoted wait times of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Between the poor communication, extra charges, constant shortages, cleanliness issues, and slow service, this resort did not meet expectations. I would not stay here again.

Este hotel rockea! Desde la gente de recepcion hasta la gente que te da indicaciones en los toboganes. Quiero dar muchas gracias a todos los que hicieron un dia libre de trabajo en toda una experiencia! El staff del bar en la alberca fenomenal! Maria en el seafood restaurant es lo maximo! El servicio fue increible. La comida en el restaurant de especialidades no fue lo mejor pero maria hizo que fue una buena experiencia. El buffet wow! Desde que te reciben y la gente que esta detras de cada platillo estuvo miy a la altura. Buffet de mucha calidad! Langosta salmon ahimado y mucha mucha variedad. Sinceramente vale mucho la pena este hotel.

One night stay after adding a day to avoid the storm in NC. It was reasonably priced and we did a lot in short amount of time.

This is a great resort. It’s beautiful, clean and the staff is really friendly. We had a few issues. Half of our group had a gasto bug that seemed to last 24 hours. After speaking with people from many other resorts (our flight was cancelled so we had the chance to talk to so many people), it seems as if it wasn’t specific to this resort - but to DR in general. Our son (5 y/o) sliced his foot open quite badly on one of the pools - second from the reception desk, near the swim up bar) we travelled with 2 nurses who thought it could have been stitched. We stayed away from that pool for most of the trip, returned on the last day and lo and behold - he got another cut. Steer clear or put water shoes on. There were also some issues with water in our room - not long lasting but sort of annoying when you can flush the toilet - family of 5 that’s sort of annoying, but not long lasting so it was fine. There are tons of complaints about the buffet. We really enjoyed the buffet - nothing to complain about there. Al la carte restaurants also take a lot of heat but we thought they were quite good - not knock your socks off good, but enjoyable. The beach was fantastic. The slides were really awesome. Whatever you want is fairly close by. The food truck on the beach had the best burgers. Still dreaming of these. The bars were great, they would mar whatever you wanted and didn’t wait terribly long anywhere. The beach bar was the best service, but really, they’re all good. 4/5
