"Hotel location is great. Is clean . No guess services available after hours plus the office is across the street from the hotel."

"From the lobby to our room itself, the hotel was very clean and the inside had all been updated. We got a King Bed Room (Rm14) and it was very spacious with a large closet, a mini-fridge, and a microwave in it. The bathroom was on the small side but very clean and met our needs. The bathroom had a standing shower only, no bath-tub. The pool yard is small but convenient and clean. Michael is the new owner and he was very helpful and nice to talk with. We arrived earlier than check-in time and he was happy to accommodate us and let us get in our room early. There is a Keurig in the lobby that you can use for your morning coffee or there is Holiday Coffee shop or OC Island Cafe within a block walk from the hotel. I'd highly recommend both of these options. I think the only semi-negative comment I would have would be the rooms are a little echo-y since they have high ceilings and hard wood floors but that's not really a negative. If you're looking for a well-priced stay for a long weekend at the shore, I would highly recommend The Cove!"

"We booked this property for a very important trip—our daughters were competing in a state championship track meet—and specifically chose it because we wanted a comfortable, low-stress experience. Unfortunately, our stay began with a very stressful and frustrating check-in process. There is no on-site staff, and when we arrived, the code provided for the electronic lock did not work. We spent an excessive amount of time trying to gain access to the property and had to make multiple phone calls for assistance. Eventually, someone was sent out, but even they were unable to immediately open the door and had to go back and forth to resolve the issue. After a long day of travel and with the pressure of an important athletic event, this was the last thing our family needed. We paid a premium price expecting a smooth and convenient experience, but instead found ourselves standing outside with our belongings, uncertain if or when we would be able to access the property. While the issue was ultimately resolved, the lack of on-site support and the failure of the access system created a level of stress that significantly impacted our experience. I would strongly encourage the property owners to improve their check-in procedures and have a more reliable backup plan in place when access problems occur."
