"We chose this property because of the location and cost. It's clean with well worn furniture, things are a bit shabby but under new management. The beds were comfortable enough. We were there when the wildfire smoke came. During the first night we noticed a smoky smell in our room and awoke to extreme air quality issues. We had planned to go to Mackinac Island for the day but you couldn't walk outside without coughing. Actual ash was coating our car. We are retired and knew we could not...

"Great place to stay if you're visiting Mackinac Island. Bonus is the cute town of Saint Ignace which is within walking distance from hotel. Only complaint, breakfast was the same everyday. We stayed 4 mornings, and each morning they offered the same circle eggs and sausage patties. Still better than nothing though. I'd stay here again."

"The view from our room of the bridge was fabulous and it was on a golf course! The hot tub was out of service so that was unfortunate. It was a great stay for a great price."

"The rooms need a good deep clean. Dust and trash behind the dresser and under the tv stand. Refrigerator was not plugged in on arrival. Complimentary breakfast has a two hour window to eat. The rinse station to use after swimming is broken."

"Staff was very friendly. Hotel was dated and needs repairs. Our screen door had the screen ripped so it was useless. Room had damp feel and odor. Water park definitely for younger kids. Rate for stay was definitely in line with quality of service and amenities. I definitely would not recommend it."

The young man behind the front desk had a number of difficulties to deal with including someone's malfunctioning air conditioner and I thought he did a masterful job. Our air conditioner worked. The fan in the bathroom sounded liked an idling lawnmower, however."

"Mackinaw City generally has 3 star hotels. This hotel was a fair price for the level of quality. The breakfast was BETTER than most hotels at the 3 star level. Easy walk to the downtown and ferry docks."
