"Creekside Inn in Palo Alto, California is not far from Stanford University and on a large street with endless signals. (We didn’t realize how far away from our loved ones it would be). Traffic jams occurred at times because of Stanford University events. Creekside Inn is an older establishment in the middle of trees, natural beauty and a dry creek. There are many old hotel buildings that are part of it. The management has done a good job: everything‘s clean and well kept. The staff was pleasant....

"Room was quite clean. Staff was helpful at the desk. Curiously, there were no water glasses in the room, but the staff did not recognize that as an error or unusual. We did have water bottles (2) in the room. The breakfast was excellent but the service for breakfast was weak for the level of the accommodation and its price. Breakfast orders were taken at the entry counter and delivered to tables but without any subsequent inquiry as to whether additional service or items or even salt and pepper...

"This is truly just a “place to sleep” kind of hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was meh, but it wasn’t really why I stayed there anyways. One very important thing to note for light sleepers - request a room on the top floor. I was on the first floor and it felt like I was in an apartment listening to every step my upstairs neighbor was taking. The location was great. Rooms were small - perfect for solo travelers. "This place was perfect for our weekend stay. They had 24/7 coffee and tea and a great breakfast each morning. My kids loved the pool and the aesthetic of the hotel was so pretty and relaxing. The staff was very friendly and helpful and available around the clock."
