"This place is quaint but not super welcoming. The cottage was cute but not the comfiest beds. We didn’t get a code to check in and didn’t realise the reception would be unmanned. The continental breakfast was a bit odd - self service without clear instructions. Wasn’t all put out at 8am and then a girl came and brought some more things. Had to make our own coffee. "

"We went outside on the patio to enjoy a drink in the sun. I went inside to order some drinks and was told you have to use the QR code to order. But since i was their the waiter took my order but informed me this was an exception. How stupid is it to expect guests to download or scan QR codes just to order drinks and a meal. Do they expect OAP;s to do downloads or scans. Very poor customer relations in this hotel as everything is automated, from check in, to check out, to ordering meals and...

"First time staying, the night before our early flight. Lovely room and fabulous restaurant. Highly recommend it.. 5 min walk from the train station"

"Parking is really poor, everyone was double parking on grass and in the disabled spaces as there is not enough space for guests to park. We had to park a 5min walk away in a public car park and walk back in the dark which wasn't a nice start. The corridors and decor in the room was a bit tired. We had a Park room and all the lamps in the corridor had been knocked and were either lopsided or broken off. The walls were also badly marked and needed a clear freshen up. "It is what it is! A recognisable hotel right next to the airport. It's not a destination hotel and there are people coming and going all the time. If you have an early start or a late arrival, it's a perfectly adequate place to spend a night."
