"Convenience for my purposes (visiting a friend who lives nearby) and price outweigh the initial impression of a slightly seedy block. The reception fellow was pleasant, warm, and observant. He really was the best asset of the motel. Was worried at first about noise from neighbors, but they weren’t an issue after all. Felt safe and slept well. I was there for four days three nights with three family members and we only had two towels to shower. "Misleading pictures and descriptions for this horrible hotel. Rooms with filthy walls, bathrooms, super dirty stained and sticky carpets and everything in it was super bad. When checking one of the beds a bug run from under the pillow. High odor of marihuana in hallway plus no A/C nor fans in rooms. Let me assume high scores are form owners, employees or friends. Should not be recommended by Expedia nor any other site. "

My main issues were with the cleanliness of the rooms, like the floor being dirty, shower not clean and the dining table in the room had crumbs on it. "Room was unclean. Covered in dust from top to bottom. Extremely loud, metal carts going through the hallway in the middle of the night, police raiding the room over. Never again!!!!!!"

"If you want a classic old school in sf downtown, it s here. My room had classic marble fixtues with a serious commercial toilet. My room was brilliantly lit. The bed was firm just the way i love it. The staff are o polite and old school. The place alive with antiques. They dont have breakfast so who cares? Go to the donut place close by."
