"Lovely location. Friendly welcoming staff. Great guest experience from all members of staff. Fabulous food and beverages. Would definitely stay there again. Negatives if I'm being picky: We had to ask for sugar at breakfast every day and butter once. Trivial compared to the overall experience."

"We had everything we needed - and more if you've forgotten anything - for our short stay. Lovely, spotless room (church view) just like the pictures, with gated parking. Apart from being a pleasant host, Jenny provided excellent, easy to follow check in information and details of places to eat and drink, which were all very close by."

"Bit of an issue getting into the property as we arrived quite late but thought the pub would still be open. Sorted out quickly without a problem though. Room was really good, comfortable, clean with all we needed for a good night's sleep. Owner seems to have considered what was required really well. Breakfast was excellent & catered for all tastes. "Still the best place to stay in Poole. Shower was awesome, enough room to get a rugby union team in!!! Great location near the restaurants on the Quay and a ten minute walk from the train station. Deluxe Room was very spacious and had an iron bath in the corner!! However, mattress was too soft and the pillows too 'fluffy'. Just a personal note, but we needed hard mattresses and 'dull' pillows. Breakfast is over-priced (plenty of coffee shops/delicatessens in Poole), but if you need to eat one,...

"The overall stay at Purbeck House was okay. We had a very interesting mini tour with Alex. Our room was on two levels and very spacious . It would have benefitted from some artwork on the walls. Also, a proper bathmat. I nearly slipped over getting out of the bath as the textured surface is small. The shower gel bottles are a waste of time. "Lovely clean and tidy hotel. The rooms look refurbished and were spotless. We had the family room which was bigger than we were expecting. Two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. The staff were pleasant. Parking plentiful. Breakfast (eggs, hash browns, beans, sausages, bacon etc.) was included. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants/shops. Perfect for our stay."

Only knew staff training when I had got ready and gone down to a notice on the door to enter. Times of pools opening times did not match online to inside times, so never got to visit."

"Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that."
