"We had a wonderful room with both garden and ocean views at this beautiful property. Our private patio, complete with two chairs, was the perfect spot to spend the evening listening to the waves and stargazing. We could have stayed out there all night!
There was a small amount of construction on the grounds — it appeared they were refurbishing a water feature that will be a lovely addition once complete. It was a minor inconvenience that didn't detract from our stay at all.

"I was hit by something on the freeway that caused a slashed tire and coolant leak. I called and gave a notice of late checkin and then let them know that the repair was still happening and could I move the stay one day, as I couldn’t get there (weekend repair in a small town). She said no, it was past the checkin time, despite previously telling me I could call back re: a check in beyond 11pm. "Room was ok but laid out a little funny. There was no way to control the temperature in the room which we didn't like. Also, the staff leaves the hallway doors open to let the sea breeze through the hall which made it very cold. We were not a fan of that. Breakfast was decent but a little crowded."

"Beautiful location, but hotel is severely outdated. Rooms are stuffy, carpets look and feel sticky, and ceiling fan barely worked - which is kind of a big deal when there’s no AC in the room and the window only opens about 4 inches - I assume it’s a safety measure. We left and found a nice place in Cambria."
