"Beautiful old village in the gorgeous alps near around Mont Blanc. Beautiful drive up the winding roads. Clean, quiet, lovely friendly staff, easy free parking, in the town of St.-Germain-Les-Bains. The room was huge and had a nice balcony we could look out over another village down in the valley. We did not take the breakfast but it looked nice. We drove 20" to Chamonix to take the gondola (telepherique). Totally worth the ticket price to go to the top! Astonishing beauty and history....

"The hotel is charming and ideally situated. The proprietor, Sebastien, was great. We stayed for four nights and had a fantastic time in the cozy (with fireplace), welcoming hotel. "

"Check-in time is at 4pm. Staff comes in at that time. Breakfast starts at 8am. The staff that is there to check-in and provide service till 8pm was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are small as it seems to be geared for the skiers. Good location once you get there. Without a car directions are deceiving and the walk is long with trailing luggage. Try to get the bus from the train station which will take you up the mountain (it’s free). This bus can also take you to other near by towns (such as...

"Currently loud construction next door during weekdays all day long. If you’re out hiking and exploring then it doesn’t matter. But it’s going to keep going all summer and autumn. It’s a big remodel. This is a straightforward basic hotel. It’s been remodeled and it’s very clean, but there’s no bells and whistles here. No A/C. No fridge in room. There’s good luggage storage for after you check out if you have extra time and a shower room for after checkout."

We had a problem with the parking...we reserved outdoor parking for our stay only to find, upon arrival, that the street to the hotel was under construction and not accessible. We did not receive any warning about this and had to find public parking a short distance away. Plus we had to drag our luggage through the muddy...
