"Beautiful old village in the gorgeous alps near around Mont Blanc. Beautiful drive up the winding roads. Clean, quiet, lovely friendly staff, easy free parking, in the town of St.-Germain-Les-Bains. The room was huge and had a nice balcony we could look out over another village down in the valley. We did not take the breakfast but it looked nice. We drove 20" to Chamonix to take the gondola (telepherique). Totally worth the ticket price to go to the top! Astonishing beauty and history....

The staff was generally friendly but could not accommodate an early check-in and did not offer to let us know when the room was available. Anyone taller than 5'9" would have to be careful not to bump their head. The light over the dining area was also very low, we all bumped our heads on it. The terrace doors are large and light but there wasn't a way to keep them closed while out on the terrace. The seals on the terrace doors also weren't tight, might be a bit...
