"It takes a lot for me to give a bad rev. I’ll be honest- very disappointed, esp. with the reviews and we’ve stayed at a lot of Hampton Inns. (This did have a sign stating it was an independent hotel, so maybe it’s not quite the same, but surprised Hilton would allow the branding to be used.) First, it’s NOT in a great area (and we’re from a pretty rough city). One side had a couple of well-known places mixed in and didn’t look too bad, We started walking to a restaurant nearby that was behind...

"The hotel stay itself was fine, but I wound up waiting 45 minutes for the shuttle in the middle of the night due to a technical problem with the vehicle. Those things happen, but I was not offered viable alternatives, which could have made a difference."
