"The hotel is in the perfect location, by the beach and by restaurants. The staff were very friendly, responsive and helpful. The valet service attendants were great. They placed all my luggage in my room and picked it up and placed it in the car when I was ready to go. I wish I could have stayed longer."

"Very thin and cheap toilet paper. We had to go to the grocery store to get our own toilet paper. Towels and toiletries are average quality. "

"It was fantastic to be right on The Strand! Only major drawback is lack of parking. My medium-sized room was nearly perfect! Only drawback was the small square shower with shower curtains for a shallow-panned shower made for a fairly wet floor. But I loved the historic feel and like I was in a house rather than a hotel. I also liked having the kitchenette."

"We were pleasantly greeted by housekeeping upon arrival who was extremely helpful with assisting with our check-in to our room. Room was clean, location is fantastic, and rooftop is great! Only reason why I didn’t rate as excellent is parking is a bit confusing…it was very hard to find designated parking spots for the hotel."

"This was a great place to stay close enough to the beach for a whole day layover in LA (about a 15 min walk to Manhattan Beach). Its an older motel but the price is good! I'd stay here again."
