"On arrival we were disgusted by the foul smell and revolting condition of the carpets in the bar area. The room was appalling
With urine staines to the mattress a condom wrapper left in the bed . The sheets were of the lowes standard of quality and also stained. The pillows of such disgraceful quality that you wouldn't even put in a dogs bed coupled with the can of beer which lay above our heads amongst a sickening thick layers of dust prompted us to check the electrical regulations certificate and fire extinguisher both of which are out of date by almost three years. The pathetic "

"Room was good. Aircon kept it at an acceptable temp (hotel was otherwise on the warm side). Sadly the food let it down. Both of the breakfasts I had were cold. The evening meal (function meal) was also cold. Staff were generally very good, but were let down by breakfast staff on the second day - had to ask twice for poached eggs. A lovely traditional hotel, let down by things which should be very easy to fix. I would return. "

"Staff were helpful and friendly but property is very tired. Paint is peeling in bathrooms and bedroom, and the room smelt slightly damp. There were no electric sockets near headboard, we needed an extension cable running across the room. Corridor was in severe need of vaccuming. The property needs redecorating and deep cleaning."

"Debra and Drew were very welcoming hosts.
We used The Barn as a lauch pad to visit Chartwell and Knole. Perfect choice.
The accommodation was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean.
We were spoilt for choice regarding local eateries. We chose The White Hart for dinner and it was top knotch.
